Easter & a New Financial Year

You are currently viewing Easter & a New Financial Year

With Easter upon us and a lovely 4-day weekend in tow here’s a gentle reminder that when we all return to work it will be April 1st which means the start of a new financial year! A new financial year is the perfect opportunity to review your existing office solutions and consider what needs reviewing and potentially replacing to ensure your business is operating at maximum efficiency.

Managed Print – An MPS (managed print solution) will manage every aspect of your business’s print infrastructure with an all-inclusive contract, including printers, scanners, fax machines and copiers. Furthermore, our intelligent print management software integrates with your existing technology to make printing work the way you want it to.  Simple, transparent and cost-effective software tracks usage behaviours, enables print auditing and even allows print jobs to find users based on their physical location.

Visitor Management Systems – your traditional visitor Sign in book are most likely no longer GDPR compliant. Failure to comply with GDPR regulations in the UK can result in a fine of up to £17.5 million or 4% of your annual turnover, whichever is higher. Now is a crucial time to start looking into Visitor Management Systems. The great thing about VMS is the system is not only for signing visitors in and out, it also offers an array of extras such as real-time reporting function on visitors AND employees. It includes an app which can notify employees and visitors with messages such as pre-scheduled fire alarm tests and more.

AV Solutions – AV solutions offer the versatility needed to adapt to an array of different work environments. From video conferencing platforms that facilitate real-time interactions to portable AV setups that transcend the confines of traditional office spaces, these solutions empower professionals to work efficiently from anywhere. Moreover, they promote inclusivity by ensuring that all team members, regardless of their location, have equal access to information and resources.

Franking Machines – If you are spending more than £100 a month on postage you should consider a franking device. The price of Royal Mail postage stamps will rise on 2 April 2024 with a first-class stamp for a standard letter rising to £1.35 and the price of a second-class stamp for a standard letter rising to £0.85. A franking device prints a ‘Mailmark indicia’ including a 2D barcode, directly onto envelopes, postcards or adhesive labels. It can also be used to print a company logo onto an envelope or label making business’ communications look more professional. Franking machines can also weigh each individual item ensuring you only ever pay the precise amount. With stamps, there is a considerable risk of overspending, due to the inexact process of estimating how much you think an item will cost based on its size.
